Take a tour of Maersk’s ‘gorgeous’ biggest ship

A photographer has visited the Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering factory in South Korea armed only with a camera to shoot the Matz Maersk Triple E, the largest ship ever built.

The Matz Maersk is a staggering 400m long, which is 76m longer than the Eifel Tower and just 43m shy of the Empire State Building, it also has a beam of 59m.
The record breaker has an 18,000 TEU capacity.

Alastair Philip Wiper shot the Matz Mearsk for Wired UK and told the magazine: “I was expecting a tour of the ship from someone who knew it inside and out—instead I was just told: ‘Here it is—off you go!’”
The results of Wiper’s adventure around the vessel are plain for all to see.
